The Most Beautiful Medieval Villages of Empordà
1. Peratallada
One of the most iconic medieval villages in Catalonia. Cobblestone streets, stone houses covered in plants, and a peaceful atmosphere make it a must-see.
Highlights: Plaça de les Voltes, the ancient moat, and hidden restaurant terraces.
2. Pals
Perched on a hill, this village offers lovely views over the Empordà rice fields. Its medieval tower, narrow streets and flower-filled balconies are postcard-worthy.
Don’t miss: Torre de les Hores and the Josep Pla viewpoint.
3. Monells
A small, picturesque village famous for its arcaded square. A perfect stop for a relaxed walk or coffee.
